WOW

The WOW compilation series was established in 1995 by EMI Christian Music Group, Word Entertainment, and Provident Music Group. The product's purpose was primarily two-fold: 1) to unite the year's best Christian music on one album to promote trial of one of the fastest growing music categories 2) to broaden the consumer base of Christian music.

The three main brands in the series, WOW Hits, WOW Gospel and WOW Worship have sold more than 16,000,000 units since 1995.  By 2008 the WOW Brand total units sold will surpass 20,000,000.

Today, the series' primary goals are to continue reaching light-to-heavy Christian music buyers while serving as an entry point to the category for millions of Americans & Christians who do not purchase Contemporary Christian Music.

More than $1,000,000 has been given away to charities or used to develop industry wide initiatives to support music retailers through proceeds from WOW sales.

WOW was awarded the Gospel Music Association's Impact Award in 2002
